About Me

Hi, I’m Sonia, I am originally from Galicia in Spain. I grew up in a small city surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Growing up, I did not have the opportunity of meeting different people and cultures, which is the opposite of the diversity and buzzing energy that I  love about London.

 The quest to look for a method of healing that made sense to me was the direct result of my own frustration with conventional treatment.

During my teens I started having panic attacks, sometimes I would faint. When I was 20 years old, I had a severe one that left me very shaken, so I went to the doctor. I was put in antidepressants straight away, with the treatment I felt NUMB, I was like a ROBOT without feelings, so I stop it.

I continued searching for a more comprehensive permanent solution, that could help me deal with my internal turmoil and my physical symptoms. It took me to different conventional and alternative therapies. I found my answer after an open-hearted and desperate call to a friend. She recommended a homeopath, and It CHANGED my life. The transformation was at all levels; it came from within without struggle. I had the energy and determination to be myself. I found what I was looking for and it made sense to me. After my first follow up I started studying it. I have been on this journey for more than 18 years. My passion for teaching, practising and sharing its benefits grows every day, with every patient.

Qualifications

I am a qualified and registered Classical Homoeopath with over 15 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Health Sciences: Classical Homeopathy from the University of Westminster in London. Before moving to London, I studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Art at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain.

I started my homeopathic education at the Morley College in London, followed by hard and rigorous training at the University of Westminster where I graduated in 2006.

My ongoing professional development and postgraduate learning include seminars and courses with worldwide prestigious homeopaths.

In 2005 I attended the summer postgraduate course with Professor George Vithoulkas in the International Academy of Classical Homoeopathy in Alonissos, Greece.

In 2012 I completed the Advanced course in Homeopathy held in The Other Song Academy in Mumbai, India. The Other Song is a leading academy teaching advance homeopathy and the sensation method. In the Academy, I learned first-hand from the pioneers of the Sensation Method and leading homeopaths Dr Rajan Sankaran, Dr Jayesh Shah, Dr Sujit Chatterjee, Dr Dinesh Chauhan.

In January 2021 I received my certificate of completion of the course “Case studies” with Jeremy Sherr.

I am registered and fully insured with the Society of homeopaths (SoH). They are full members of The Council for Complementary and Alternative medicine (CCAM) and the European and International Councils for Classical Homeopathy (ECCH/ICCH).
